摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent peeling and dropping of an active material of a positive plate due to charging and discharging and prolong the life of the positive plate by carrying out a reaction uniformly and at further lower temperature by employing a method in which heat treatment is carried out after raw materials are press-formed. CONSTITUTION: After an electrolytic manganese dioxide powder with 5&mu;m average particle size and lithium carbonate powder are mixed in 4:1 mole ratio, the powder mixture is pressed at 1000kg/cm<2> and heat-treated while the temperature being changed to 850 deg.C, 750 deg.C, and 450 deg.C for 48 hours. Continuously the pressed powder mixture is naturally cooled to the room temperature to obtain a Li-containing manganese compound oxide. A mixed liquid consisting of 87wt.% of the Li-containing manganese compounded oxide as an active material, 5wt.% of carbon black as a conductive material, and 3wt.% of n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone containing 5wt.% of polyfluorovinylidene as a binder is mixed in a dry room. After that, the mixture made into a paste-like state is applied to a titanium mesh as an electric collector and dried at 80 deg.C to produce a positive plate.
