<p>A golf tee has a ball supporting head and a stem. The head has a portion of the lip removed to reduce the contact between the head and the ball as the ball leaves the tee, and the stem includes a step which allows the tee to be consistently inserted to the same depth each time the tee is used (fig. 6). The tee may be formed from wood and coated with non-toxic paint, and may be provided as part of a set of differently sized tees (fig. 4). The tee is intended to produce more consistent golf shots by minimising the resistance or deflection imparted to the ball by the tee when the ball leaves the tee upon being struck by a club.</p> |
