The installation has pincers (2), each coupled to a carrier for displacing the pincers from a seedling loading station to a removal station. Each pincer includes two seedling positioning spaces (1) continuously arranged for enabling the passage of the seedling from one space to another space. A position maintaining unit (4) ensures the position of the seedling by elastically tightening the seedling in respective spaces. An independent claim is also included for pincers.
