Method for automatic verification of a person by comparison of stored biometric data, especially fingerprint data, with measured data. Data can be stored as a barcode or in an electronic chip or transponder. Stored data sets comprise a number of biometric data sets that were recorded under different conditions. A person is verified when at least the highest agreement level between the measured and a stored data set exceeds a preset threshold. An independent claim is also included for a corresponding biometric identification document with biometric data stored in a machine-readable format. |
