PURPOSE: An optical disk and a disk information recording method of the optical disk are provided to suggest various methods of recording disk information corresponding to a high velocity, and to uniformly apply standardized disk information, thereby effectively coping with a recording/reproducing process of the optical disk. CONSTITUTION: Disk information is separately stored according to allowable speeds. Recording layer information for designating a recording layer, speed information for indicating a speed, and recording-related information in accordance with the corresponding velocity are recorded within the disk information. The disk information is recorded in a pre-recorded area during a disk fabrication. The disk information is recorded as an RF modulated signal in the pre-recorded area.
