The method involves verifying the presence and the validity of a link between a control center (20) of a vehicle (A) and a radio frequency badge of an authorized user. The use of the vehicle is authorized to the user when the presence and the validity of the link are verified and the use of the vehicle is prohibited when the link does not exist or is invalid. An engine of the vehicle is stopped when the vehicle is immobile. An independent claim is also included for a device of controlling access for use of a vehicle.
