<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new anticancer agent that has been developed by using the genome inactivation activity of Epstein-Barr virus as an index and is derived from a microorganism and has excellent in vivo safety, stability to light, heat and oxidation. <P>SOLUTION: This anticancer agent comprises as active ingredients, (i) a compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>show, in this order, the following combinations: (O, H<SB>2</SB>, H), (O, H<SB>2</SB>, CH<SB>2</SB>OH), (O, H<SB>2</SB>, CH<SB>2</SB>CH), or the like] and/or (ii) a compound represented by general formula (2) [wherein R<SB>4</SB>and R<SB>5</SB>show, in this order, following combinations: (O, H<SB>2</SB>) or (H<SB>2</SB>, O)]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
