ON-VEHICLE DEVICE AND PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device which improves the visibility and operability of an occupant while attaining both vehicle traveling safety and device convenience by one operation input device, and its processing method. SOLUTION: First to third infrared light receiving elements 111-113 receive infrared data D emitted from an operation input transmission part 2 and outputs them to an operation input permission determination part 12a. The operation input permission determination part 12a determines a space operated by discriminating the first to third infrared light receiving elements 111-113, and analyzes its operation input content to determine whether the operation input content is accepted. An arithmetic processing part 13a performs a wide variety of data processing by use of the operation input content from the determination part 12a, the processing result of a position detection part 17 and map data stored in a map data storage part 16.
