PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel by which satisfactory screen quality can be obtained even when uneven light is emitted from a backlight and to provide a liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel to which light of the backlight is emitted from its rear side is provided with a liquid crystal panel body having a liquid crystal interposed between substrates opposed to each other to forming the screen. The liquid crystal panel body is provided with a diffusion layer 71 diffusing light to be transmitted through the liquid crystal panel body at the backlight side substrate 7.
