UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY OF AC POWER SOURCE COMPENSATION TYPE USING AN ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR AS AN ENERGY STORING UNIT

PURPOSE: An uninterruptible power supply is provided to improve energy efficiency and lengthen the power compensation time, by setting the charge voltage of an electric double layer, 1.3 times or more of the minimum driving voltage of an inverter. CONSTITUTION: An uninterruptible power supply converts an alternating current input from an alternating current power source(1) into a direct current by using an AC/DC converter(5), and stores the converted current in an energy storing unit. The uninterruptible power supply converts a direct current input from the energy storing unit into an alternating current by using a DC/AC inverter(9) when power is interrupted or unstable, and supplies the converted current to an output load(4). The energy storing unit is an electric double layer capacitor(6).
