<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication device in which convenience of a user is ensured while reducing battery consumption by detecting the state of the mobile communication device and entering a waiting/receiving function stop state, stopping the waiting/receiving function for a predetermined time when there is no action from a user, and resetting to a waiting state immediately upon receiving an action from the user. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile communication device comprises a section for transmitting/receiving a signal to/from a base station, a section for controlling its own mobile communication device, and a sensor section for detecting external environmental variation of its own mobile communication device and delivering the detection results to the control section.
