The invention relates to the use of precipitated silicoaluminate as a raw material for obtaining a dye, by mixing or by impregnating the same with an inorganic pigment, especially an inorganic pigment based on an iron component. The invention also relates to a dye that can be obtained by calcination, then possible grinding, of a mixture of precipitated silicoaluminate and an inorganic pigment or a precipitated silicoaluminate having an oil absorption DOP of at least 150 ml/100g, which has been previously impregnated by means of an inorganic pigment in the form of a soluble salt. The dye obtained can be used for dyeing ceramic materials such as ceramic tiles, and materials containing hydraulic binders or bituminous materials. |
