PURPOSE: Provided is a low temperature sintered piezoelectric composition excellent in mechanical quality factor(Qm) and electromechanical coupling coefficient(Kp) by adding CuO to the PSN-PZT-PNW composition. CONSTITUTION: The PSN-PZT-PNW-based piezoelectric ceramic composition is prepared by the following steps of: mixing raw materials in the proportions corresponding to a PSN-PZT-PNW composition, 0.91Pb(Sb1/2Nb1/2)0.03(ZrxTi1-x)0.97O3 + 0.04Pb(Ni1/2W1/2)O3 + 0.3wt.% MnO2 (0.48<=x<=0.51); ball-milling, drying and calcining mixtures at 850deg.C; adding 0.2-0.6wt.% of CuO; ball-milling and drying to get a piezoelectric composition, expressed by the formula of 0.91Pb(Sb1/2Nb1/2)0.03(ZrxTi1-x)0.97O3 + 0.04Pb(Ni1/2W1/2)O3 + 0.3wt.% MnO2 + 0.6wt.% of CuO (0.48<=x<=0.51); forming the dried composition; sintering at 920deg.C.
