PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make transparent ice rid of impurities from an ice surface. SOLUTION: An ice making cover 45 for closing or opening the upper face of an ice making tray 43 is provided on the vertically invertible ice making tray 43, and when the vertical inversion of the ice making tray 43 is completed, ice is dropped on the ice making cover 45 from the ice surface side where the impurities or the like are left, and the impurities or the like on the surface are dropped by drop action and contact action during the drop.
