PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure of an artificial ground capable of controlling an excessive increase in maintenance cost and initial construction cost. SOLUTION: The artificial ground 10 constructed on water comprises a superstructure work 12 and a substructure work 14 supporting the superstructure work 12. The superstructure work 12 is equipped with a frame body 12a having a light and high rigid truss structure and a floor slab work 12b. The substructure work 14 is equipped with a reclaimed ground 16 constructed on one end of the superstructure work 12 and an underwater foundation 18 constructed on the other side of the superstructure work 12 and supporting the superstructure 12. The reclaimed ground 16 includes a reclaimed section 16a and a circumferential revetment caisson 16b. The underwater foundation 18 is placed in the further off-shore side of the circumferential revetment caisson 16b, In the case it is operated, it is constituted of a hollow cylindrical caisson 18a, the caisson 18a is set on a foundation 18b formed on the bottom.
