<p>Splitting oriented thermoplastic films of synthetic polymer in which fibrils of a polymer are gathered. Each of these fibrils is at least partly embedded in one or more fibres of this fibrous product. The basic polymer is polyethylene or polypropylene of high specific weight. In an example, the basic polymer was polyethylene and the fibril forming polymer was a condensate of polypropylene glycol and toluene diisocyanate in a molar ratio of 1:2, which after 24 hours at 25 deg.C. had a syrupy consistency.</p> |
