PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device of a film heating system which assures the smooth conveyance of a recording material during heat treatment by preventing the slack and kink of the film. SOLUTION: The heating device which formes a nip with a heating element 8 and a pressurizing object 8, holds and conveys an object to be heated by the nip and heats the object by the heat from the heating element through the film is equipped with a film end abutting section 15b which regulates the position of the film by accepting the end of the film in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the object to be heated and a flange 15 which exists on the inner side of the film and has a film sliding section 15a for guiding the rotating loci of the film. The film sliding section of the flange is equipped with a moving wall 31 which can be moved with specified force by an elastic body 30 in a direction where the film is stretched.
