PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for unlocking a locking device upon handing over a disc storage case to a customer in dealing the disc storage case having the locking device for preventing a person from fraudulently opening the storage case containing a CD, a DVD or the like and stealing a disc in the case at a store or a rental shop. SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of forwarding a first case body with an inserted first locking means to unlock extraction preventive means of the first locking means via magnets arranged in the inside of a unlocking passage and to leave the first locking means retained in the unlocking passage, a step of retreating the first case body and pulling the case body out from the unlocking passage to separate the first locking means from the case body, and a step of forwarding a second case body with an inserted second locking means into the unlocking passage holding the first locking means to push out the first locking means from an exit of the unlocking passage as the second case body advances, while the extraction preventive means of the second locking means is unlocked via the magnets and leaving the second locking means retained inside the unlocking passage.
