A crankshaft for a piston engine consists of a sequence of crank-pin (1) and crank web (2) to form fillets (3) between adjacent crank webs and a junction (4) is formed between crank-pin and a crank web and has contour curve which is tangential to the surface of the main crank-pin (1) and to the surface of the crank-web (2). The curve of the junction contour is composed of at least two different sized tangential part-radii (Ri) which merge with one another.
