PURPOSE: A portable terminal having a keypad consisting of dual sensors is provided to recognize a number to be inputted by a user's body contact without seeing a keypad when inputting the number, so that the user can input the number while seeing an LCD. CONSTITUTION: A dual sensing signal input unit(100) consists of a pressure sensor keypad(120) for generating a body pressure sensing signal. A driving key(300) drives a touch sensor keypad(110). A sensing signal reader(200) receives the body contact sensing signal and a body pressure sensing signal, and converts the received body contact/body pressure sensing signals into a touch on signal, a touch off signal, and a push signal. A controller(600) receives the converted signals to display numbers corresponding to the signals on an LCD unit(500), displays a number corresponding to the touch on signal as a temporary display while deleting a previous temporary number in case of the touch off signal, and displays a number corresponding to the push signal as a confirmed display.
