PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a house monitoring system in which it can be confirmed on the side of a control center whether an alarm is right or wrong when the alarm indicating the invasion of a suspicious person is generated. SOLUTION: When the setting of presence/absence switch 102 is "presence", a sensor control part 103 determines resident's safety on the basis of the detected result of a moving object sensor 101 and notifies a main control unit 200 of the determined result. When the moving object sensor 101 detects any movement in the case of the setting the presence/absence switch 102 to "absence", the effect is reported to the main control unit 200. In response to said report, the main control unit 200 reports the possibility of invasion of a suspicious person to a caretaker, sends an audio signal to announce a request of inputting a password code to a person staying in the house. When a right password code is not inputted, it is determined that a suspicious person invades the house, and reports it to the caretaker by controlling an alarming part 202 or the like.
