PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "stimulation-responsive polymer" which is suitable as a raw material for cosmetics. SOLUTION: The copolymer of hydrophilicity comprises one or more kinds of constitutional units derived from a monomer expressed by general formula (I), one or more kinds of constitutional units derived from a monomer expressed by general formula (II) and one or more kinds of constitutional units derived from a monomer expressed by general formula (III); and the copolymer has in one molecule 5-40 % by weight on the average of the portion derived from the monomer expressed by general formula (I), having a number-average molecular weight in terms of a polyethylene glycol and by a measurement with GPC(gel permeation chromatography) of 300,000-10,000,000.
