摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate engagement of a lock-up clutch in changing it to a lock-up state, by gently changing a degree of a decrease in engine revolution speed, in a case where the clutch is changed even after non-lock-up state of the clutch when a fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. SOLUTION: An engine for a vehicle has an automatic transmission 21 including lock-up mechanisms 22, 23. A lock-up switching/non-switching determining means 11 is provided to determine whether or not the clutch is switched to the lock-up state, at a time of coasting where the clutch is in the non-lock-up state and where the vehicle is in inertia travel state thereafter with the non-lock-up state when a fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, and a revolution speed decreasing degree changing means 11 is provided to change a decreasing degree of engine revolution speed depending on switching/non-switching of the lock-up state from the determination result.
