PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner member for reinforcing two types of hood panels commonly, one with a molding mounted and the other with no molding mounted. SOLUTION: The inner member 12 for reinforcing hood panels is formed capable of being joined commonly with the inner surface of a first hood panel 11 on which a first molding 13 in pseudo to an air intake grille is mounted and the inner surface of a second hood panel 21 free of such moldings. The first inner member 14 is formed in an inverted hat shape in the section extending across the car width upon intersecting the mounting part of the first molding 13 and having a front flange 14a and a rear flange 14b and also a recess 14c between them while the second inner member 16 extends across the car width upon intersecting the part corresponding to the rear of a panel swellout part 11a, and the first inner member 14 is formed wide so that the front flange 14a and the rear flange 14b stride the first molding 13 or the rear flange 14b supports the rear of the first molding 13.
