METHOD FOR STERILIZING BATHTUB WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilizing bathtub water at a low cost while suppressing the production of a chloramine smell and hypochlorous ions. SOLUTION: In this method for sterilizing bathtub water, a sterilant is added to the bathtub water used while circulated. As the sterilant, a chlorine type chemical agent and chlorine dioxide are used. Further, it is preferable to supply the chlorine type chemical agent and chlorine dioxide so as to hold the total concentration of the concentration of residual free chlorine and the concentration of residual chlorine dioxide in the bathtub water to 0.1 mg/L or above.
