METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN OPTICAL FILM FOR AN LCD BY USING A HOT EMBOSSING PROCESS AND A UV EMBOSSING PROCESS

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an optical film for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to make the optical film have a fine pattern, thereby enhancing optical performance of the optical film and improving productivity of the optical film by using a hot embossing process and a UV(UltraViolet) embossing process. CONSTITUTION: An optical film (10) is sequentially supplied from a film supply roll(1). A UV resin is coated on one surface of the supplied optical film through a coater(2). The UV resin on the optical film is hardened by making the optical film pass through a dryer(4). A fine pattern is formed in the optical film by making the dried optical film pass through an embossing roll of a hot-embossing unit. The optical film with fine pattern is hardened by irradiating UV light at the fine pattern of the optical film.
