<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate used for a transverse electric field system active matrix type liquid crystal display device having satisfactory viewing angle characteristics and free from an afterimage and gradation inversion, wherein crosstalk is hardly generated and an image of high display quality can be realized. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter for the transverse electric field system liquid crystal display device having a black mask 21 formed in a matrix shape and color filter layers of three colors of R, G and B on a transparent substrate and an overcoat layer for flattening formed on the color filter layers, the black mask 21 and the color filter layers of three colors of R, G and B are bent in a range of ±1° to ±45° in the extended direction of a video signal wiring of an active matrix substrate opposed to the color filter substrate in one pixel in the shape nearly identical with the shape of the video signal wiring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
