MANUFACTURING METHOD OF FLAT PANEL DISPLAY DEVICE, AND FLAT PANEL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a flat panel display device in which impure gas generated at the time of chipping off can be removed rapidly using a getter, and the heating temperature of the getter can be controlled at a desired temperature. SOLUTION: The flat panel display device 100 is made by sealing a front plate 10 and a rear plate 20 and an exhaust pipe 60 which is chipped off after completion of an evacuation work is fitted to the device. A ring shape non-evaporating type getter 70 which is supported by a getter support fitting 75 is arranged on the rear plate 20 side of the chipping-off portion. At the time of chipping off, a high frequency current is flowed to a coil part 85 fitted in the surrounding of the exhaust pipe 60 arranged with the getter 70 and induction current is generated to the getter 70 by an electromagnetic induction action and heats the getter 70 rapidly.
