PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for removing scales from a fish capable of easily stripping the scales from the fish while scattering of the scales is effectively restrained. SOLUTION: The tool for removing the scales from the fish is provided with a handle 11, a holding body 12 provided on the end of the handle 11 and an edge 13 provided on the holding body 12 in such a manner that the edge 13 intersects the head-to-tail line of the fish. The front end part 13a of the edge 13 is inclined by an angleαpreviously selected to restrain the scattering of the scales stripped against the front in an advancing direction I of the edge 13 to a base part 13b of the edge 13.
