PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for effectively carrying out vibration-proof countermeasures for an operation handle of a brush cutter by simple constitution. SOLUTION: The brush cutter 10 is equipped with an operation rod 11 provided with a cutting blade 13 at one end 12 and an engine 15 at the other end 14 and the operation handle 20 attached to the middle (an intermediate part) 17 of the operation rod 11 by intersecting the operation rod 11 at right angles. In the brush cutter 10, the operation handle 20 is formed of an elliptical pipe and the major axis 47 of the elliptical pipe corresponding to a site 33 for attaching the operation rod of the operation handle 20 is oriented in the direction A to transmit the vibration from the operation rod 11. Since the operation handle is formed of the elliptical pipe and the major axis of the elliptical pipe corresponding to the site for attaching the operation rod of the operation handle is oriented in the direction to transmit the vibration from the operation handle, the rigidity of the operation handle in the direction to transmit the vibration of an operation frame can be enhanced.
