The present invention relates to a dry powder pharmaceutical suspension composition of cefuroxime axetil suitable for use as a liquid suspension wherein the composition has better bioavailability and is free of food effect. It also relates to a process for the preparation of such a composition. The dry powder pharmaceutical suspension composition includes granules that include cefuroxime axetil, at least one lubricant, and at least one glidant.
