WASTE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND TREATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment apparatus for carbonizing waste while properly treating odor or lamp soot of dry distillation gas generated when the waste is carbonized.

SOLUTION: This waste treatment apparatus is provided with: a carbonizing device 1 which has a carbonizing chamber 1a and a combustion chamber 1b partitioned from the carbonizing chamber 1a and carbonizes the waste charged into the carbonizing chamber 1a by using the heat of combustion of the combustion chamber 1b; a sealed type treatment tank 2 for storing water; a gas introducing ejector 3 for introducing dry distillation gas generated in the carbonizing chamber 1a into water; and a gas exhausting fan 21 for exhausting gas accumulated in the treatment tank 2 to the combustion chamber 1b.
