PURPOSE: A method for measuring a fuel consumption rate is provided to precisely display fuel consumption information in real time according to an integration distance. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring a fuel consumption rate includes a step of calculating an amount of fuel supplied through a purge control solenoid valve by an engine control unit(S1). The engine control unit calculates an amount of fuel supplied through an injector(S2). The engine control unit determines a fuel consumption rate by taking each the amount of fuel supplied through the purge control solenoid valve and the injector into consideration(S3). The engine control unit outputs pulses to a trip computer(S4). The trip computer calculates a number of pulses inputted from the engine control unit, and displays a fuel consumption ratio to a driver(S5).
