PURPOSE: An SMS(Short Message Service) system with a load distribution method by using an SS(Signaling System)7 gateway and an SMS message processing method using the SMS system are provided to add an SS7 gateway for distributing an SS No.7 signal, and to connect more than one SMSC with the SS7 gateway to process an SMS message in load distribution method, thereby processing an SMS notification message by using a broadcasting method. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal(210) transmits or receives an SMS message. A mobile communication network includes an RAN(Radio Access Network)(220), MSCs(230,232), and an HLR(240) for transceiving the SMS message. An STP(Signaling Transfer Point)(250) relays and distributes the SMS message in No.7 signaling method. SS7 gateways(260,262) receive the SMS message to transmit the received message. An SMSC group unit(270) comprises more than one SMSC(272,274,276,278) connected in group unit to receive and process the SMS message.
