TFT DISPLAY PANEL FOR ENHANCING AN APERTURE RATIO OF A PIXEL

PURPOSE: A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) display panel is provided to enhance an aperture ratio of a pixel, thereby capable of providing the TFT display panel with high luminance. CONSTITUTION: A gate line(121) is formed on an insulating substrate. A gate insulating layer is formed on the gate line. A semiconductor layer(151) is formed on the gate insulating layer. A data line(171) is formed on the gate insulating layer and defines a pixel region together with the gate line and has a source electrode(173) superposed with the semiconductor layer. A drain electrode(175) is faced with the source electrode with a constant distance and superposed partially with the gate electrode and semiconductor layer. R(Red),G(Green),B(Blue) color filters(230R,230G,230B) are formed on a pixel region and extended along the data line. A light blocking pattern is comprised of a protrusion portion superposed to an upper or a lower portion of the data line. A pixel electrode(190) is formed on the color filters and connected to the drain electrode. The edge boundary line of the pixel electrode is positioned on the light blocking pattern.
