PISTON-WEAR PREVENTING DEVICE OF A HYDRAULIC CYLINDER FOR MINIMIZING THE WEAR AND DAMAGE OF A PISTON CONTACT PORTION FOR A PISTON ROD

PURPOSE: A piston-wear preventing device of a hydraulic cylinder is provided to restrict the wear and damage of a piston caused by combining a piston rod directly with a combining nut by installing an anti-wear plate of high strength at each contact portion between the piston rod and the piston and between the combining nut and the piston. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder comprises a piston(40) having a combining hole; a piston rod(50) having a combining unit(52) of the small diameter joined in the combining hole; and a combining nut(60) screw-joined with the combining unit passing through the combining hole. The piston rod has a step unit(54) formed by the combining unit. A piston-wear preventing device for the hydraulic cylinder is composed of installing grooves(44) formed on both surfaces(40a,40b) of the piston around the combining hole and an anti-wear plate(70) fixed and instilled in each installing groove to prevent a direct contact between the piston and the step unit of the piston rod and between the combining nut and the piston.
