PURPOSE: A slim projection TV system is provided to minimize the width of a cabinet of the projection TV system by maximizing the slope of a mirror to the ground, to thereby reduce the area in which the system is installed. CONSTITUTION: A slim projection TV system includes a cabinet(110). A window(120) and a rear cover(130) are respectively attached to the front side and the backside of the cabinet. A CRT(Cathode Ray Tube)(140) is placed at the lower part of the inside the cabinet at a deflection angle at 10 to 35 degrees. Light from the CRT is reflected by a mirror(150) attached on the inner side of the rear cover to be projected on a screen(160) on the window as an image. The deflection angle of the CRT, formed by the surface of the CRT and the ground, is 10 to 35 degrees.
