FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: according to invention, working cycle of internal combustion engine consisting of processes of successive intake of fresh charge, compression, combustion, expansion of working mixture and exhaust of waste gases are implemented at one stroke of sectional piston moving from top dead center to bottom dead center. Function of volume change is nonlinear and it can attains values close to zero in top and bottom dead centers. Working cycle takes place in single-stroke working space of engine formed by working plates of sectional piston together with walls of combustion chamber. Working plates are hinge-connected to each other and to lever providing transmission of forces to main connecting rod and further on to power takeoff shaft. ^ EFFECT: improved power characteristics of internal combustion engine. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg |
