摘要 PURPOSE: An ADIP(Address in Pre-groove) signal detecting circuit and a method thereof are provided to detect non-continuous points, correctly and speedily, and to easily implement an integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION: The circuit comprises a differentiator(31), a window comparator(32), and an ADIP signal generator(33). The differentiator(31) receives a wobble signal, and then differentiates the signal. The window comparator(32) compares an output signal of the differentiator(31) with a positive reference level to generate the first comparison signal, and compares an output signal of the differentiator(31) with a negative reference level to generate the second comparison signal. The ADIP signal generator(33) generates an ADIP signal which expresses a positive non-continuous point of the wobble signal in response to an edge of the first comparison signal and expresses a negative non-continuous point of the wobble signal in response to an edge of the second comparison signal.
