PURPOSE: A hemming press device is provided to form a panel to be hemming formed by using a slide cam which can be moved horizontally and vertically depending on the operation of a drive cam during hemming forming, thereby enhancing productivity. CONSTITUTION: An engaging portion at which two panels are engaged between an upper die and a lower die is hemming formed. An upper die pad(15) is mounted to the upper die by interposing a cushion spring at a lower portion of the upper die. The upper die pad restricts one side of a hemming portion. A slide cam(17) forms an inclined surface connected to a horizontal surface. A forming steel(39) performs hemming forming by bending horizontally and pressing vertically a tip end flange surface of the panel positioned on the lower die. A drive cam operates horizontally the inclined surface of the slide cam and vertically presses the inclined surface of the slide cam.
