PURPOSE: A death from suffocation preventing device of a vehicle is provided to perfectly prevent the death from suffocation inside the vehicle, to minimize the loss of power and to prevent the theft through a mis-operation by exactly detecting the existence of passengers and the situation inside the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An engine temperature sensor is installed in a cylinder block. A sensing device(10) comprises a temperature sensor, an oxygen sensor, an audio sensor and a CCD(Charge Coupled Camera) camera. The sensing device is installed in a roof inside a vehicle. An engine control unit(30) turns off a safety mode during a driving of the vehicle, maintains the safety mode to be turned on during an idling or a stop of an engine and operates window motors(40) and an alarm when a passenger is installed while the temperature of the engine is higher than a set temperature, an indoor temperature is higher than a set temperature or an oxygen amount is smaller than a set amount by recognizing the indoor temperature, the oxygen amount, the existence of the passenger and the temperature of the engine through signals from the sensing device and the engine temperature sensor. The window motors open windows by operating through the engine control unit. An alarm(50)wakes up the passenger and informs an emergency situation by operating through the engine control unit.
