PURPOSE: A method for preventing postamble ringing in DDR SDRAM is provided to prevent the postamble ringing by controlling an enable of a control signal for not changing the data stored in a data input latch through controlling the delay time of delay part. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing postamble ringing in DDR SDRAM comprises the steps of: storing and arranging data(DQ) from the outside into a data input latch(330) through a data buffer(320)(a); controlling the data input latch(330) for the stored data to be not changed(b) by controlling the signal enabling period; transferring the stored data to a data input/output sense amplifier(350)(c); transferring the data from the sense amplifier to a data global input/output line, and preparing the data input latch for receiving new data(d). Wherein, the signal for controlling the data input latch is generated by synchronizing to the DQS falling edge.
