ULTRASONIC WAVE TRANSMITTING RECEIVING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave transmitting receiving apparatus capable of being proper to mass-production despite of provision of an acoustic matching layer using dry gel. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic wave transmitting receiving apparatus is provided with: a piezoelectric material 2; and the acoustic matching member 5 including the dry gel, and also with a matching member case 4 for containing therein the acoustic matching member 5. The matching member case 4 includes: a bottom side part fixed to an ultrasonic transmitting receiving wave front of the piezoelectric material 2; and a side face part projected from the bottom side part in the direction of emission of an ultrasonic wave and covering the whole of the side faces of the acoustic matching member 5.
