PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which executes appropriate route guide up to a destination when a car runs, and executes exact guide of a route up to the destination, even after its user gets off the car and changes to traveling on foot. SOLUTION: If the car 1 is parked, when the route guide up to the destination is executed by means of the car navigation system 2, data on the position of the parking and the destination are automatically transmitted to a destination guide service center 3. In the service center 3, an optimum walking route from the parking position up to the destination is found by the use of a detailed map database 21.
