PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding knife drive device of a folding machine with a simple constitution provided with a linear drive device, and capable of realizing arrangement of space saving while achieving a good approach, and securing a knife lowering movement with high accuracy by improving a folding knife guided in a linear guide via the linear drive device with a form driven in a reciprocating manner in a drive direction. SOLUTION: A linear drive device 3 is arranged at a single end of a folding knife 1, and the linear drive device is equipped with an output member 5. A movement axis of the output member extends in a drive direction, and at least drive element 6.1, 6.2 traveling via turning rollers 7.1-7.8 borne rotatably and coupled with the folding knife 1 at two portions is installed.
