PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric field use monitoring system that can adequately monitor the state of a person who lives alone etc., relatively easily, efficiently, and economically without the needs to send a person and install a television camera and so on. SOLUTION: A plurality of electrodes 7 are provided on a floor 5 where a person 1 such as an aged person who lives alone walks and a mobile terminal 3 having a transceiver using an electric field induced in the human body is provided nearby or in contact with the body of the person 1; and an electric field based upon a signal to be detected is induced in the body of the person 1 from the mobile terminal 3, detected by a small-sized information terminal 9 with a transceiver through the electrodes 7, and outputted as a detection electric signal to a personal computer 11, which analyzes the detection electric signal to decide the state of the person.
