<p>Greensih/yellow, difficultly water-soln. styryl dyes for fast dyeing of lower aromatic polyesters, cellulose esters, and aslo synthetic polyamides, polyolefins and for bulk dyeing pigmenting lacquers, oils, waxes, cellulose derivs, polystyrene and polyamides, have the formula: and are free from water-solubilising gps. dissociating in water with an acid reaction (where R is lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, opt. substd. aryl, or a heterocycle; one of X1 and X2 is -NH and the other is -O-; ar is opt. substd. aryl; Q1 is 2-5C alkylene opt. substd. by Cl or Br. Q2 is lower alkylene; Y is H, halogen or lower alkyl). Prepd. by treating the corresp. aldehydic cpd. with malonic dinitrile, the aldehydic cpd. being free from water-solubilising gps. dissociating in water with an acid reaction.</p> |
