<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the horizontal sealing device of a filling/packing machine which easily produces packaging bags in different shapes without reducing productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A receiving member 27 which is a horizontal seal bar for pressing a tubular film in its total width is supported by a bar base 24. A supporting panel 33 for supporting the bar base 24 is provided with a pair of first holes 33a positioned on a horizontal line and a pair of second holes 33b positioned on a line making 40° relative to the horizontal line. When the base 24 is mounted on the panel 33 using the holes 33a, it forms a right angle relative to the transporting direction of the film.
