<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is a method in which light having a wavelength emitted from a semiconductor light-emitting element and light having a wavelength emitted from a phosphor are mixed by mixing the phosphor in an epoxy resin, and the light-emitting element is sealed but a white light-emitting element utilizing a fluorescence has the inferior conversion efficiency of the wavelength, and it is difficult to obtain a sufficient brightness in conventional devices by the method. <P>SOLUTION: In the white light-emitting element, the semiconductor layer of the semiconductor light-emitting element is excited by a part of light emitted from the active layer of the semiconductor light-emitting element, and white light is obtained by mixing light emitted by a photoluminescence and a part of the light emitted by the active layer of the semiconductor light-emitting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
