<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of a spontaneous light emitting display panel which can eliminate the technical problems caused by providing a lighting drive circuit of the display panel with a constant current source at low cost and a driving method. <P>SOLUTION: A scanning driver 3 and a data driver 10 set all the scanning lines K 1 to Km and all data lines A 1 to An arrayed to the display panel 1 at the same potentials at the time of changeover of scanning, by which the reset operation to discharge the charges accumulated in the parasitic capacitors of respective light emitting elements E 11 to Enm is executed. The drivers supply the charging currents from a voltage source 4 for driving which charges the parasitic capacitors of the light emitting elements in a non-scanning state in succession thereto as forward currents to the light emitting elements with which scanning lighting is performed.
